The 505th Coast Guard Auxiliary Squadron was re-activated on November 24, 2008 under the PCGA Southern Tagalog District..
The CGAD-STL is located in Batangas. The PCGA 505th Squadron is located in Sabang, Puerto Galera, Or. Mindoro.
Commo. Wilfredo Tamayo AFP is the Coast Guard district commander.
The Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary is a civilian volunteer organization that supports
the Philippine Coast Guard in performing its non-law enforcement missions such as: Search and Rescue, Disaster Relief & Response, Civic Action, Environmental Protection, Community Service, Youth Development and Promotion of Safer Ships & Cleaner Seas.
